“Cone to My House” on exhibit through September
At last! After over 6 months of work, Amy’s Come to My House audio experience and sculpture is on view and up for auction at Fort Mason Center, Building 2, San Francisco. Dusplay and auction bidding run through September 30, 2021.
Reserve your viewing appointment HERE.
See and bid on all 100 Svane-commissioned artworks on line HERE.
Many thanks to the Svane Foundation and to Amy’s collaborators!
Amy X Neuburg: Words and music, recording and audio production, speaker artwork
Andrew Juris: Speaker art concept and layout, printing management, sculpture construction
Donald Swearingen: Audio playback unit design and construction
Come to My House consists of 8 songs played in surround sound through 8 powered audio speakers. Each speaker is itself a work of art, encased in printed vinyl with wood and metal appendages. NOT a soundscapey installation, these are actual Amy songs, dense and complex with lyrics addressing property lines, love and lust and loss, prickly plants, and other reflections from the Ark that is my home. The music ranges from choral counterpoint to electronic dance to a swell of chattering legal jargon.
